WHAT WE BELIEVE

BIBLE

The Bible is the word of God the only infallible authority in all the matters it speaks about. For all scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness that the man of God may be perfect thoroughly furnished unto all good works and should not be received as words of men II Pet. 1 v 2 / II Tim 3 v 16 – 17 / I Thes 2 v 13 Isa 34 v 16.

GOD : There is only one true God Eternally self existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Deut. 6 v 4 / Isa 43 v 10,11 Matt 28 v 19 / I John 5 v 7.

JESUS – CHRIST

His divinity & incarnation : He is the living word who became flesh in miraculous conception by the power of the Holy Ghost, and born of a virgin. He is God and Man. Truly and perfectly in the only one person God. Bearing in him all the fullness at the God head. John 11 v 14, Matt 11 v 8-25 Luke 1 v 30-37 Col 2 v 9, Phil 2 v 6-11

HIS REDEMPTION WORK : Jesus the Son of man lived without sin and willingly bore the sins and curses of the whole humanity, dying on the cross as its substitute, thus satisfying the divine justice I John 3 v 5, I Pet. 3 v 18, John 10 v 17,18; II Cor 5 v 21; I John 4 v 10; Rom 3 v 24-26.

HIS GLORIFICATION : Raised from the death in the same but glorified body. He ascended into Heaven in the same body and sat at the right hand of the Divine Majesty making intercession for his. I Cor 15 v 4,14; Luke 24 v 36-43; John 20 v 24-29; Acts 1 v 9-11; Eph 1 v 20; I Tim 2 v 5; Heb. 7 v 24-25; I John 2 v 1-2 .

MAN, HIS FALL AND REDEMPTION : Man, create good and upright for God said let us make man in our image, after our likeness. But the act of disobedience and voluntary transgression of man brought about the fall of man. By one man sin entered into the world and death by sin and so death passed upon all men for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. the only hope of redemption is through the death of the’ ord Jesus Christ for we are with a price therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit which are God’s. gen. 1 v 26-31; 3 v 1-7; Rom 5 v 12-21; Rom.3 v 23

SALVATION : Salvation is the entire work of divine grace accomplished once and for all by Lord Jesus Christ and freely given to whomsoever receive him in a contrite and repented heart toward God a d faith toward Jesus Christ for we are justify by grace through faith not by works. Adopted as sons in God’s family in order to inherit eternal life Tit 3 v 5-7; 2 v 11-12; Eph 2 v 8-9; Rom 5 v 1 have the witness of spirit to your spirit and to live a Christ like life in holiness Rom 2 v 16

WATER BAPTISM : Water baptism is one of the ordinances instituted and commanded in the Scriptures. It is the sign of identification with the Lord in his death, burial and resurrection. Therefore administered by immersion. Anyone who repent and believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour is to be baptised and should walk in the newness of life. Mk 16 v 16; Matt 28 v 19; Rom 6 v 4; Col 2 v 12-13; Gal. 3 v17

BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT : The Comforter is a divine person in the God head. The manifest power of God. A promise of the Father to all believers. The baptism of the Holy Ghost and fire comes with the endowment of power and bestowment of gifts, for service and life. Acts 2 v 38-39; Luke 24 v 49; I Cor 12 v 1-31; John 7 v 37 –39; 1 v 4-5,8.

THE EVIDENCE OF THE BAPTISM OF THE HOLY GHOST : The baptism of the believers in the Holy Ghost is evident by the physical sign of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives them utterance. The speaking in tongues and the gifts of tongues are different in purpose and use..

THE CHURCH : Christ loved the church and gave himself for her. Eph 5 v 25. The church is the body of Christ consists of the redeemed by the blood of Christ regenerated, born of the spirit and transformed. It is represented by the assembling of converted souls in a given location or place of worship which we call the local church.

Eph 1 v 22-23, 2 v 22 ; Philem. 2; Col 4 v 15; Heb. 12 v 23.

THE LORD’S SUPPER : The Lord’s supper is a sacrament instituted by the Lord Jesus Christ. Consisting of the elements, bread and fruits of vine, representing the body and the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. The symbol expressing our sharing His divine nature and communion with Him. A memorial of His suffering and death. Its celebration really confirms the spiritual partaking of the believer in the body and the blood of Jesus Christ by faith. John 6 v 48-58; Matt. 26 v 26-28; I Cor. 11 v 23-32; II Pet. 1 v 4.

SANCTIFICATION : Sanctification is a total separation from evil unto God and it is the will of God for all believers and should therefore be earnestly pursued by walking in obedience to God for the scripture teaches a lige of holiness without which no man shall see God. Be ye holy, for I am Holy is a command to obey and it is possible by the power of the Holy Ghost. Heb. 12 v 14; II Tim 2 v 21; I Thes. 5 v 22-24; John 17 v 17; Eph 5 v 26; II Thes. 2 v 13.

THE MINISTRY AND EVANGELISM : The ministry is a divinely called and commissional and ordained for the work of the Gospel. To go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature. Winning the lost to Christ and for the perfecting of the saints, for the work or the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ. Mk 3 v 14-15; 16 v 5-20; Eph. 4 v 11-13. Evangelism is to propagate, to declare or to spread the good news which is the great commission to every believer. Matt. 10 v 1-14.

DIVINE HEALING : God declares, He is the Lord that healeth thee. He has made provision for one deliverance from sicknesses and diseases. One of the signs that shall follow them that believe is they shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover. Divine healing is a divine provision for the entire church age. And therefore a privilege of all believers. Ex. 15 v 26; Ps. 103 v 3; Isa. 53 v 4-5; Matt. 8 v 16-17.
